Description: Sleeping Giant's Mr. Cash (Johnny) made HUGE waves in the showring. It's no wonder - Johnny is awesome. Not only is Johnny beautifully conformed, his fleece is amazing: DENSE, fine and exhibiting a lovely crimp style. Johnny's staple length is impressive and the crimp is uniform from the skin to the tip of the well-formed locks. He is rock-solid too. While Johnny is not huge he is big enough. He has excellent substance of bone and is broad through his chest and his rear end. His head style is pleasing and his great expression of character carries all the way up his neck and into his top knot. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better we are please to tell you that Johnny has a lovely temperament. He is appropriately aggressive with the females while remaining an easy to handle gentleman.
Johnny's first crias are on the ground and we are thrilled. Sometimes when you have spectacular but young male you look forward to the first crop of crias with some anxiety -will he be able to pass on his positive characteristics to his progeny? So far with Johnny, so good. We are thrilled with what we've seen so far and eagerly await the next crop. He is producing black, fawn and gray so far and even when bred to females having average fleeces the improvement in the crias is substantial, some are even spectacular. I am writing this around mid-October 2011. I will post his histograms from the last 3 years, some fleece shots and some photos of his crias in the next couple of weeks.
